Jesus Christ is my personal Savior. Remember, he’s the Keeper of your Soul

  • Abide in Me, and I in you. As the branch cannot bear fruit of itself, unless it abides in the vine, neither can you, unless you abide in Me. “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing. (John 15: 4-5 NKJV)

Omniscious, omnipotent, and omnipresent nature of God

  • All-knowing, all-powerful, and present everywhere.
  • “I Am God” (Donald Lawrence and the Tri-City Singers, Gospel classic)

I am God all by myself, I don’t need any help.
I can handle things on my own.
I am the first and the last, whatever you need just ask.
For I am, I am, I am God.

I was there in the beginning.
And I’ll be there when you get to the end.
I’m all seeing, all knowing, almighty, ever showing.
For I am, I am, I am God

Unchanging Hand of God: Hold on to it tightly

Hold to God’s unchanging hand,
Hold to God’s unchanging hand;
Build your hopes on things eternal,
Hold to God’s unchanging hand.

  • Jesus Christ is the same yesterday, today, and forever. (Hebrews 13:8 NKJV)
  • You have a mighty arm; Strong is Your hand, and high is Your right hand. Righteousness and justice are the foundation of Your throne; Mercy and truth go before Your face.  (Psalm 89: 13-14 NKJV)

Read and reflect on the 66 books of the Bible

  • The name of this blog (launched in Fall 2013) is based, in part, in the number of books that can be found in the Holy Bible.  66 Assurance Way.
  • Bible study and reflection can keep you connected to the Lord . . . and let the Devil know you’re a proud child of God!

Never forsaken: A benefit that believers, children of God, receive.

  • Please do not take it for granted.
  • If God Said It (Chicago Mass Choir):

If God said it, I believe it, for I know, He’ll make it alright.

Eternal Salvation

Goin’ Up Yonder (Walter Hawkins & The Love Center Choir)

I’m goin’ up yonder
I’m goin’ up yonder
I’m goin’ up yonder
To be with my Lord

Your Kingdom Keys for Christian Assurance

The Kingdom Keys represent the guiding principles which you, I, and all Kingdom-seeking Christians are expected to live by. They are from the 9 Pillars of Christian Assurance.

  1. Use your Bible Effectually
  2. Spiritually-Empowered Walker
  3. Exceedingly-Encouraged Attitude
  4. Christian Courage
  5. Acknowledge, Abide, and be Assured
  6. Right, Righteous Path

In your journey, as a Christian, the Bible tells you (and all believers) of many of the Do Not Enter signs you’ll likely see. Heed these signs, so you don’t need to seek God’s forgiveness or intervention.

The red Wrong Way signs tell you that you’re not headed in right direction now – and need to stop, pull over, or turn around.  In your journey, if you go pass the first sign, please don’t ignore the second one.

  • Even when you feel immobile and stuck, not moving at all, trust that your Heavenly Father will ‘make a way out of no way’.  News flash: God’s roadside assistance is better than anything AAA is selling!  He can send angels where ever and whenever they’re needed.
  • Your club is the Always Abiding Association.  The cost of membership: Trust, Praise, and Prayer.  Need help? Just pray and wait.  While your car may leave you stranded, God never will!

Are you ready for your Journey? Don’t forget your Bible and Kingdom Keys. If you are willing to trust in the Lord, you’ll be able to ‘do all things’. Help is never far away, if you encounter a ditch or detour.

Grace, mercy, and peace to you. To God be the glory!

‘You are with me Jesus’ (Assurance)

TMcGhee_705 May. 24 09.25For Yea though I walk (Choir: You’re Amazing)
through the Valley of the Shadow (You’re Amazing)
of Death, I fear no evil (You’re Amazing)
for You are with me Jesus (You’re Amazing)
your rod and your staff (You’re Amazing)
they comfort me Jesus (You’re Amazing)
You prepare a table (You’re Amazing)
right in front of my enemies (You’re Amazing)
Now that’s amazing! (You’re Amazing)
We say You’re amazing (You’re Amazing)
We say You’re amazing (You’re Amazing)

  • This part of “Amazing” was clearly inspired by the 23rd Chapter of the Book of Psalm.
  • The Gospel song, from Ricky Dillard’ and New G (with Tiffany McGhee leading), is spirited and uplifting.  Earlier posts on this blog (post) (post) capture the words and end-of-performance singing of this ‘joyful noise’ from Ricky, Tiffany, and crew.  In five simple words Assurance is expressed: You are with me Jesus.
  • The live video (YouTube) is spiritually-inspiring, capturing both the singers and the audience.  Visually experiencing the reactions of those at the 2014 Stellar Awards Show adds an extra dimension to the video.

 You are with me Jesus,
your rod and your staff,
they comfort me Jesus”.

  • When you know you are NOT alone, that’s a reassuring thought right?
  • When you know that his Rod allows him to protect you, who’s gonna mess with you?

Ask, Seek, Knock, & Win! (Russell Wilson)

iStock_000027630618Medium_manstretchingNYCYour Next Triumph Series – The quarterback for the reigning NFL Champions (2014), the Seattle Seahawks, is a Proud Christian!   Russell Wilson has two-sport skills (Football and Baseball) which help make him a distinctly-smart Professional Athlete.   He’s known for his on-the-field Poise.  In a year when more than a few NFL Players have exhibited questionable or bad behavior off the field, it’s refreshing to have a Christian man who’s on the Lord’s Battlefield!   While Wilson was picked in the 3rd round of the 2012 draft, not the 1st round (as Robert Griffin III & Andrew Luck were), someone forgot to tell him to not excel so quickly! (smile)

  • His words of wisdom, including a Biblical verse from Matthew that I love, are heartfelt.   Guess what?  They’re good advice even if you’re not a Professional Football Player! (smile).

In a piece done by CBS Seattle (link), Wilson describes how he found God at the age of 14.

“I had a dream that my dad passed away and that Jesus came into the room and he was basically knocking on my door, saying, ‘Hey, you need to find out more about me,’” Wilson said.    “So that Sunday morning I ended up going to church and that’s when I got saved.”

The star quarterback thanks God for the talent God has given him.   “No one can stop what God has for you,” Wilson said.

For those who abide in Christ and follow the three P’s, your next triumph WILL be just a step away.

  • The three P’s: “Always Persevere, always have a great Perspective, and always have great Purpose in your life”. (Russell Wilson, who celebrated his 26th Birthday yesterday by the way)
  • God is good (#Godisgood)
  • Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. (Matthew 7:7 NKJV)
  • Gospel for the Ride:  “Champion” / Darwin Hobbs (Audio, 2010)
    • “A Champion lives within me.  He’s given me Authority”.

  1. Do you Persevere, or are you quick to Quit?
  2. Do you have the right Perspective to achieve a triumphal outcome?
  3. Do you live a life of Purpose?
  • A career which lacks Perspective and Purpose will surely not inspire you to Persevere until you’ve triumphed.  Remember Russell’s 3 P’s.  Remember and meditate on the ‘door-opening’ words from the 7th verse of the 7th Chapter of the book of Matthew: Ask, Seek, and Knock.   If you keep both these in mind you’ll Win and be a Champion.   Russell Wilson did it.  You can too!    To God be the Glory.

It’s Working: God, William (Singer), & Paul (Apostle)

Video

This is my season for grace for favor, this is my season, to reap what I have sown.

See, I haven’t been perfect, but I sure been faithful; See, God’s got a purpose, yes, and I know He’s able.

I’ve got a seed in the ground, that He’s blessing, no more stressing.    I’ve got a seed in the ground, now I know Him, I can show Him . . .

  • Everything is working together for my good.   Everything is working (don’t feel good) together for my good . . .  It’s good (it’s good), It’s good (it’s good), It’s good (it’s good), it’s working for my good!

William Murphy (Gospel singer)

  • “It’s Working” (partial, annotated lyrics for the Gospel song provided above); from his God Chaser release (2013).   One of my favorite recent Gospel songs!

  • Romans 8:28 (Written by Paul in the New Testament)

And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are called according to his purpose.

‘This is The Way; Walk in it’ (Devotional)

Whether you turn to the right or to the left,
your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying,
“This is the way; walk in it.”
(Isaiah 30:21 NIV)

‘More-than-a-conqueror’ Christians

Keep these things in mind:

  • You’re not alone. Thou art with you!
  • Stay on the path He leads you on (5th Pillar of Christian Assurance)
  • God’s grace is sufficient. He’s strongest when you’re weakest.
  • Even when you feel you’re strong, the ‘cliff’ you are dealing with may still be BEYOND your ‘might or power’ (post).  In such situations, only through His Spirit will you prevail.

SCRIPTURE for the walk

  • He restoreth my soul: he leadeth me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake. Yea, though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil: for thou art with me; thy rod and thy staff they comfort me. (Psalm 23: 3-4)
  • So he said to me, “This is the word of the LORD to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says the LORD Almighty.  (Zechariah 4:6 NIV)
  • And the Lord, He is the one who goes before you.   He will be with you, He will not leave you nor forsake you; do not fear nor be dismayed.”  (Deuteronomy 31:8 NKJV)
  • But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.”    Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me.   (2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV)

Truth, Trust, & Triumph (Scripture)

Scripture – Truth, Trust, & Triumph

Truth

The watchman opens the gate for him, and the sheep listen to his voice. He calls his own sheep by name and leads them out . . . and his sheep follow him because they know his voice. I am the gate; whoever enters through me will be saved. He will come in and go out, and find pasture. The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full. (John 10:3, 4b, 9-10 NIV)

The earth is the LORD’S, and the fullness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein. For he hath founded it upon the seas, and established it upon the floods. (Psalm 24:1-2)

And you shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.” (John 8:32 NKJV)

Your Encouragement: 9th Pillar of Christian Assurance

Exceedingly-Encouraged Attitude

  • Allows you to avoid ‘fainting’ during long walks.
  • This mindset also allows you to successfully ‘tell your storms’ to cease.   You have a storm-stopping Helper!

FiveStones1SamuelAnd David was greatly distressed; for the people spake of stoning him, because the soul of all the people was grieved, every man for his sons and for his daughters: but David encouraged himself in the LORD his God.

(1 Samuel 30:6)

23 And when he was entered into a ship, his disciples followed him. 24 And, behold, there arose a great tempest in the sea, insomuch that the ship was covered with the waves: but he was asleep. 25 And his disciples came to him, and awoke him, saying , Lord, save us: we perish.

26 And he saith unto them, Why are ye fearful, O ye of little faith?  Then he arose, and rebuked the winds and the sea; and there was a great calm. 27 But the men marvelled, saying, What manner of man is this, that even the winds and the sea obey him!

(Matthew 8: 23 – 27)
