The Tomb where Jesus Christ was placed after being crucified:
“An Exit, not a Residence“
Pastor James A. Webster, Oak Ridge First Baptist Church
Preaching his 42nd Easter Sunday Sermon (4/16/17)
Hallelujah you’re worthy to be praised!
I lift my hands, I praise you Lord
I bow my head, I honor you Lord.
Hallelujah we praise your name.
Hallelujah so worthy,
Hallelujah, Lord we lift you up!
“You are worthy, our Lord and God,
to receive glory and honor and power,
for you created all things,
and by your will they were created
and have their being.”
This is a powerful video. The music, the words, the attire of the choir, the filming of the performance all make this a gem! I’ve featured excerpts from the lyrics, a few images from the video, and a Bible verse which captures the message this diverse, gifted ensemble tells so well. The Brooklyn Tabernacle Choir hit it out of the park with this one!
Hallelujah, he is WORTHY to be praised. To God be the glory!

When Sunday comes, my trouble gone,
as soon as it gets here, I’ll have a new song.
When Sunday comes,
I won’t have to cry no more,
Jesus will soothe my troubled mind,
and all of my heartaches, every burden,
all of my misery, all of my crying,
every trial, every tribulation,
will be left behind,
when when when when
Sunday, when Sunday, ohh . . .
when Sunday comes.
~ Daryl Coley
An excerpt from video, beg. at 4:45:
(Choir: On Sunday) Lead singer: You see on Friday they took him and they stretched him high and stretched him wide.
(On Sunday) And all day Saturday there was no activity. They thought Jesus really had died.
(On Sunday) Oh! Sunday morning hey!
(On Sunday) There came a shaking, there came a rocking and a rolling.
(On Sunday) There was somebody that was guarding . . .
(On Sunday) They wouldn’t let anybody come to the grave, but I heard something going on on the inside.
(On Sunday) You see I heard that the Lord went to him and preached a revival, and then (Jesus) said “Everybody that wants to come with me, I’m going out of here with all power in my hands!!”
I hope you had a Good Friday and have a Happy Easter!
Just to behold His face, His saving grace.
Oh yes, I’ve got to see Jesus for me,
when Sunday comes.
Then Jesus said, “Father, forgive them, for they
do not know what they do.” Luke 23:34a
After this, Jesus, knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the Scripture might be fulfilled, said, “I thirst!” Now a vessel full of sour wine was sitting there; and they filled a sponge with sour wine, put it on hyssop, and put it to His mouth.
So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, “It is finished!” And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.
I know that everything is gonna be alright
He’s coming back, like he said he would
Yeah yeah it’s gonna be alright
He’s coming back, for the true and good
We know that he’s the Beginning and we know that he is the End
There’s no one better if you really need a friend
So don’t you ever worry, cause He gave the guarantee
That he’ll return to take us home, and fulfill the prophecy
I know everything is gonna be alright
He’s coming back
Like He said he would
Get ready for peace, love, and happiness
