Crying Rocks: Fervent Praise Availeth Much (Scripture)

  • Never ‘let a rock cry out of your place’

Then, as He was now drawing near the descent of the Mount of Olives, the whole multitude of the disciples began to rejoice and praise God with a loud voice for all the mighty works they had seen, saying: “ ‘Blessed is the King who comes in the name of the Lord!’   Peace in heaven and glory in the highest!” And some of the Pharisees called to Him from the crowd, “Teacher, rebuke Your disciples.”

But He answered and said to them, “I tell you that if these should keep silent, the stones would immediately cry out.”

  • Luke 19:37-40 (NKJV) [Emphasis added]

The stones of the wall will cry out, and the beams of the woodwork will echo it.

  • Habakkuk 2:11 (NIV)

    • Thanks for the reblog Concierge Librarian! The gospel SONG is one of my favorites. When I, with my ‘blogger’s mind’ (smile), starting wondering: ‘That crying rock line is a trip! Either that’s in the Bible or the songwriter is highly creative’! Sure enough I found the BIBLE references to stones expressing Praise . . . even if man didn’t. I love when a song leads me to a scripture! Peace be with you, Greg
