  • Spotlight: TheHighCalling.org article

Through all of the “corporate turbulence” he endured, Dan King learned a few things, namely:

  1. Don’t Change How You Work Because of Fear
  2. It’s Not You, It’s Them
  3. You Are Amazing, No Matter What

King states:

No matter what happens around you, remember this: You.   Are.   Amazing.   God loves you and values you immeasurably more than you can imagine.   If you hold onto this one thing, you’ll land on your feet no matter how many organizational upheavals you live through.

  • Dan King serves as Patheos Editor for The High Calling, blogger at BibleDude.net, and President of Fistbump Media, LLC.   He lives in Sarasota, Florida, a city where I was mired in ‘corporate turbulence’  for nearly a year . . . before I, and everyone in the entire division of the homebuilder, was laid off in 2007.
  • He knows what I know and believe: You are amazing.  You are one of God’s masterpieces.   Your Real Boss (God) loves you, even if your Boss fires you.

Just 9 hours after posting this post, highlighting Dan King’s poignant thoughts on ‘corporate upheaval’ and job insecurity for Christians, I got an unexpected call that Friday would be my last day. Talk about irony! God willing, I’ll only be out of work a few days. I know I’m amazing no matter what! Pray that this storm will be real brief ; I might be working on a new job before I even get my last direct deposit from my current one. Be blessed!
