  • Seeing this Bible SCRIPTURE in three (3) different versions is very revealing.   Look at how the word of God is conveyed in these four New Testament verses – from the Book of Romans.

New King James Version

33 Oh, the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God!   How unsearchable are His judgments and His ways past finding out!    34 “For who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has become His counselor?” 35 “Or who has first given to Him And it shall be repaid to him?” 36 For of Him and through Him and to Him are all things, to whom be glory forever.  Amen.  (NKJV).

New International Version

33 Oh, the depth of the riches of the wisdom and knowledge of God! How unsearchable his judgments, and his paths beyond tracing out! 34 “Who has known the mind of the Lord? Or who has been his counselor?” 35 “Who has ever given to God, that God should repay him?” 36 For from him and through him and to him are all things. To him be the glory forever! Amen (NIV).

The Message

33 Have you ever come on anything quite like this extravagant generosity of God, this deep, deep wisdom?   It’s way over our heads.   We’ll never figure it out.   34 Is there anyone around who can explain God?   Anyone smart enough to tell him what to do?   35 Anyone who has done him such a huge favor that God has to ask his advice?            36 Everything comes from him; Everything happens through him; Everything ends up in him.   Always glory!  Always praise!                     Yes.  Yes.  Yes.
